Information Security
We design our systems with your security and privacy in mind:
- We use encryption protocols and software to protect personal information during transmission.
- We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage, and disclosure of customer personal information.
- Our security procedures may require us to verify your identity before disclosing personal information to you.

- Keeping track of items in your shopping cart
- Tracking your specified preferences (including interest-based ad preferences)
- Conducting research and diagnostics to improve content, products, and services

Data Retention
We retain your Order Information for as long as your account is active, as necessary to provide you services, or as required by applicable law or regulation.
Mobile phone numbers collected through our SMS review request program are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, or until you opt out. Following a valid opt-out request, your number is suppressed from future sends within a commercially reasonable time, not to exceed 10 business days.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at Section 16. Depending on applicable law and our legal obligations, certain information may be retained after a deletion request.
Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us at Section 16 and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
Do Not Track (DNT): We do not currently alter our Site's data collection and use practices in response to browser-level Do Not Track signals, as no uniform standard for interpreting these signals has been adopted across the industry.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): The Global Privacy Control is a browser-level signal that, under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA), may constitute a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We are actively evaluating technical implementation of GPC signal recognition. California and Oregon residents may also exercise their opt-out rights directly by contacting us at Section 16.
International Data Transfers
Beck's Shoes is based in the United States. If you are accessing our Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our servers are located and our operations are managed.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, note that we are processing your information to fulfill contracts we may have with you, or to pursue legitimate business interests as described in this policy. We use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for international data transfers from the EEA/UK/Switzerland where required.
Beck's Shoes previously participated in the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield frameworks. The EU-US Privacy Shield was invalidated by the Court of Justice of the European Union in July 2020. We no longer rely on Privacy Shield as a transfer mechanism and have transitioned to Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant transfers. For questions about our transfer mechanisms, contact us at Section 16.
